Tattoo traceability: inks, materials and supplies under control

Traceability is a legal requirement for every tattoo, PMU and piercing professional. Tattoomorrow lets you easily document all products and supplies used for each project.

Traceability by text or photo

For each project, record supplies either by entering information manually (product name, batch number, expiry date) or by directly photographing the product label. Both methods are accepted and complementary. Everything is saved and linked to the client's project.

Grouped by project

All supplies — inks, pigments, needles, jewelry, care products — are grouped by project. You can view the complete list of materials used for any given session. This grouping is directly accessible from the client file and corresponding project.

Why traceability is essential

In case of infection, allergic reaction or any post-procedure issue, traceability protects you. It lets you quickly identify the product in question, provide necessary information to health authorities and prove your regulatory compliance. Without traceability, your professional liability is at stake.

Compliant with legal requirements

In France and many European countries, traceability of products used during tattooing, PMU and piercing procedures is mandatory. Tattoomorrow helps you meet these requirements effortlessly, directly from your smartphone.

Why material traceability is a legal obligation

Tattoo material traceability is regulated in France by the decree of March 6, 2013 on hygiene and safety practices for tattooing techniques, and reinforced by the European REACH regulation on chemical substances in inks. Every tattoo professional must be able to provide, during a Regional Health Agency (ARS) inspection, complete information on every product used.

The data that must be traced for each session includes: the brand and product reference, batch number, expiry date, manufacturer or supplier name, date of use, and the client's name. It is recommended to keep this data for at least 5 years.

Without documented traceability, the professional assumes civil liability in case of allergic reaction, infection or client dispute.

How Tattoomorrow manages traceability

Tattoomorrow integrates traceability directly into each client project. For each session, you can record material information in two ways: text entry (brand, reference, batch number, expiry date) or by photographing the product label. All data is timestamped, linked to the client and securely archived.
