No-show without notice: the deposit is kept.

Always included: if the studio cancels, the client chooses between a full refund and a new date. A policy where the studio owes nothing when it cancels may be considered unfair. Force majeure and medical reasons: rescheduled, deposit kept.

Deposit and cancellation policy

Booking your appointment

To hold your slot and prepare your design, the studio asks for a deposit of $50.

Your booking is a firm commitment, for you and for the studio.

The deposit is deducted from the final price of your tattoo.

Your deposit stays valid for 6 months to set your appointment date.

Cancelling or rescheduling

Let us know at least 48 hours before your appointment to cancel or reschedule: your deposit is then refunded or moved to the new date.

You can reschedule once and keep your deposit. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.

If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, the deposit is kept by the studio, except in the case of force majeure or a medical reason (see below).

Late arrivals and no-shows

If you are running late, let us know as soon as you can: we'll do our best to keep your session. After 30 minutes, the appointment is considered cancelled.

If you don't show up without letting us know, the deposit is kept by the studio. A new appointment can only be booked with a new deposit.

Custom designs

If you cancel after receiving your design, the deposit is kept by the studio to cover the drawing time spent on your project.

If the studio cancels

If we have to cancel your appointment, you choose: a full refund of your deposit, or a new date while keeping your deposit.

Force majeure and medical reasons

In the case of force majeure or a medical reason (for example a contraindication discovered on the day: pregnancy, a new medication), your appointment is rescheduled and you keep your deposit.

Tattoo deposit FAQ

Why ask for a deposit for a tattoo?

A deposit holds the slot and covers your preparation time. Clients who have paid a deposit are more likely to turn up or warn you in time, which reduces no-shows.

How much should a tattoo deposit be?

There is no standard amount. Many studios ask for a fixed amount for small pieces and a percentage of the quote for larger projects. The deposit should cover your preparation time without discouraging the client.

Can the studio keep the deposit after a no-show?

That is the usual rule, as long as it was clearly communicated in writing before payment. State the notice period, the late arrival allowed and what happens after a no-show.

What happens if the studio cancels?

The client should get their money back or a new date, whichever they prefer. A policy where the studio owes nothing when it cancels may be considered unfair.
